Kill The Darling
The Marc Trudel
Lecture
Marc
is a seasoned pro who works for kids as well as high-end corporate clients. He
won the Canadian Association of Magician’s Stage Competition in 2007. He will
share some of his ideas for close-up magic, kid shows and even for stage, ideas
directly from his working repertoire.
Here are a few of
the ideas that will explained during the lecture:
The Ballpoint
Marker: One of Marc’s reputation makers, straight from
thousands of tradeshow performances. This effect has been an underground secret
in Quebec for a few years and is now being released to the magic community.
The Extreme Card Trick:
Based on ideas by Stéphane Bourgoin, this is the trick that Marc uses when he
wants to impress all of those hip guys that have seen everything.
The Siamese
Signature Switch: Marc’s approach to Wesley James’
classic “fusion” plot. In this version, two sets of signatures instantly
transpose in the hands of the spectators.
The Dragon and
the Elastic Princess: A brand new way of presenting a
very old trick. Marc’s theories on presenting kid’s magic will be discussed
during the lecture.
The Card in
the box… in the bag… on the rope: Marc will discuss
this classic of magic and how a trick can be modified to create a dynamic
presentation for kid shows.
Studying
Vernon: Marc will reveal his in-depth study of the
different applications of Vernon’s Flourish Count out of Greater Magic.
He will also discuss how he studies different techniques in order to create his
own tricks and routines.
Other routines like Instant Muscle,
My First Magic Trick and The Mosquito will be discussed.
Finally, through
Marc’s constant collaboration with Stéphane Bourgoin of SB Magik, new
exclusive items will be showcased at the lecture.
We almost
forgot… February 1st is Marc’s birthday! He’ll celebrate by giving a
free gift to each magician who attends his first lecture in the US. Don’t miss
it!
